Shaking up the neigbourhood

Bri had a visit from a tank last Sunday. Dan, Bri and I were in the house as Dan and Jen were packing up for their move to Winnepeg and our windows were shaking. Dan figured it out and stated Brian I think your tank is here. So we went outside and sure enough the tank modered and stopped in front of our house. Brian has a connection through work. But if you are ever in need of ideas of how to get neigbours attention order a tank and they all pour out of their homes to check out what is going on. But now Bri and I will probably be known as the people who had the tank come to the street.

Brian and I had gone over to my Unte Sylvia's and Nana's for some carrot cake to celebrate Bri and Nana's birthdays. We drove up and saw a huge cloud of black smoke. The house behind them was burning up. I guess it had been empty for some time and this was the 4th time it had a fire. So the fireman contained the area by spraying down the trees and let the house burn. Bri was entertained for most of the evening. I guess it is a good reminder how dry it gets here in the summer and how careful people need to be.
Brian's B'day at Keats

Brian and I went to Keats for the weekend before Bri's birthday to celebrate with his family. We also got to enjoy seeing our friends Kevin and Stacy up at Keats, it was great to catch up with them and hear about their adventures this summer. The only crummy thing was when we got back from Keats our new car had been broken into so we waited for the police to come and inspect the crime scene. But the car is all fixed and looks great since James, Bri's brother, was able to do his magic touches on it.
Brian turned 27 August 17th. I surprised him with some roof racks for our jetta so that we can eventually put some bikes and other equipment on the car when we go camping and on all our adventures we will enjoy in the years to come. Then we went out for some delicious Japanese food in Langley in my old stomping grounds.
