Just along pier 39 you can get a great view of Alcatraz. We did not make the trip over but from our spectacular zoom on our new cameras we could get a pretty close look at it. I did not really feel like going into an old jail. While down on the pier we enjoyed some delicious clam chowder in the yummy sourdough bowls. The sites and food are well worth the trip.

That's a nice picture of you Jalene! You look beautiful. Actually, you probably would have enjoyed Alcatraz. The first time I went to San Fran I didn't go there but the second time I did. I was really glad. You can take this audio tour that totally explains things to you and the history of it as you are walking through. My sis, two friends and I all found it to be really interesting and informative. Maybe next time!
